This document scanner online uses a lightweight border detector and four-point perspective correction. It offers suggestions, not guaranteed paper recognition. Free rotation adds white corners so the image is not clipped. Auto-enhance may change colors or erase faint marks; compare the preview with Original color.

Frequently Asked Questions
How reliable is automatic document detection?
Detection works best when a light, flat sheet is fully visible against a darker, plain background. Shadows, clutter, folded paper and white desks can confuse it. Always check all four corners; use Full image or drag the handles if the suggestion is wrong.
Are my scans uploaded or stored?
Document images are processed in this browser tab, without a server or paid API. The tool does not upload photos or save scans in browser storage. Download your results before closing or refreshing the page.
Can I scan directly with my phone camera?
Use Take a photo on supported mobile browsers. The device may open its camera or a file chooser. For sharper text, keep the phone steady, use even light and include every edge of the page. You can always upload an existing photo instead.
Does the scanner recognize text or straighten curved books?
No. Exports contain pictures, not searchable OCR text. Perspective correction flattens a four-sided region; it cannot unbend a curved book page, restore blurred text or recover details hidden by glare.
How large can my scanning project be?
Use up to 20 JPG, PNG or WebP photos: 20 MB each, 60 MB combined and 24 megapixels per source image. Working images and exports are capped at 2,200 pixels on the longest side. Smaller projects work better on phones.
