Turn phone photos into one readable PDF
A PDF made from phone photos is only useful if its pages are readable and in the right order. Start with clear pictures, then crop and arrange them before exporting. Keep the original photos so you can return to them if an edit removes detail.
Photograph each page clearly
Place the document on a flat surface with a plain, contrasting background. Use even light, hold the phone steady and include all four paper edges. Avoid glare over small print. If the text is blurred in the original, a filter will not restore it; take another photo before continuing.
Check the suggested crop
Open the Document Scanner and add your photos. Review the four numbered corners on each page. Drag a handle if it cuts through text or includes too much background. Use Full image if you want to start again with the whole photo.
Automatic detection can mistake shadows or objects for a paper edge. Before applying changes, check the heading, page number and bottom line as well as the main text.
Choose a filter that preserves the information
Compare Original color with Grayscale, Black & white document or Magic / auto-enhance. Black-and-white output may make printed text easier to read, but it can also remove faint pencil marks. Keep color when stamps, highlighting or colored notes matter. Rotate the page if needed, then select Apply changes.
Arrange and export
Review every page in the page list and change the order where necessary. Choose A4, US Letter or Fit to image according to the intended use, then select Create multi-page PDF and download the result.
If the photos already look right and only need combining, use JPG to PDF. Unedited JPG and PNG conversion also avoids the canvas extraction permission needed for scanner edits in privacy-protecting browsers such as Tor.
Open the downloaded PDF
Check the page count, order and smallest text in a PDF viewer. The scanner produces images inside a PDF; it does not perform OCR, so text is not made searchable. Scan output is capped at 2,200 pixels on the longest side, which can affect fine detail. Your photos are processed in the browser tab; download the result before closing or refreshing it.
