Frequently Asked Questions
Can I fill a scanned PDF or a standard PDF form?
Standard AcroForm text fields, checkboxes, dropdowns, radio groups and lists appear in the form panel. For a scanned page or a PDF without fields, use Add text to place an image of your text over the page. This does not replace existing PDF text or run form calculations.
Is this a certified digital signature?
No. Typed and drawn signatures are visible marks added to the page. This tool does not verify identity, create a certificate, provide a signing audit trail or send signature requests. Use a dedicated signing service when those features are required.
Are my PDF and signature uploaded or saved?
Document editing happens in this browser tab. The tool does not upload your PDF or signature or save document history. Download your result before closing the tab. Clear document removes the current editing session.
Which limits and text formats apply?
Use one unlocked PDF up to 30 MB and 100 pages, with up to 30 added text or signature items. XFA forms, certificate signature fields and custom page units are unsupported. Edited form text uses supported Latin characters. Added text and typed signatures use the fonts available in your browser and are embedded as images; check the preview for missing glyphs.
What does flatten form fields do?
Flattening turns form field appearances into fixed page content. Leave the option checked for a finished copy, or uncheck it to retain editable form fields. Added text and signatures are page images in either case. Neither option protects against later editing or securely redacts information.
