Resize an image without stretching it
Pixel dimensions describe the width and height of an image, not its file size. Keeping the original proportions makes the height follow your chosen width and prevents distortion. For a form that requires a different shape, crop your photo first rather than stretching it. Enlarging a small image cannot recreate missing detail.

How do I avoid a stretched image?
Leave “Keep original proportions” selected. The height is calculated from the width and the source image’s aspect ratio.

PNG and WebP support transparent backgrounds. JPG replaces transparency with white.
